Intentional Peer Support Groups (IPSG)

Tribal NeedsIntentional Peer Support Groups (IPSG) are autonomous groups which are run for the benefit of a particular group of people within our local communities.

IPSGs are borne out of PoppIns. They are supported, and their facilitators are trained and supervised, by ALF’s team of trained Peer Coaches.

IPSGs are closed membership groups aimed at individuals who wish to address a specific topic or theme. For example, the IPSG in Arlesey is for those who wish to address addictive behaviour, whether it is their own, or those whom they care for.

ALF are dedicated to ensuring that Intentional Peer Support is of the highest standard and that individuals who lead them, are fully supported and have the skills to take care of their own needs, as well as the needs of others.

ALF works alongside partner organisation Positive Ways who deliver (soon to be accredited) training to PoppIns and IPSG group facilitators.

If you would like to set up your own supported and supervised IPSG group within your local community, or are interested in volunteering for ALF in any way, please contact Keith Abrahams 07834 655171 or Emma Jaynes 07791 520388.
